Mistakes we make when decorating our living room!
1. The most common mistake we all make is that we think that everything should match each other, but matching the living room table with the chairs does not leave the mark of our own personality somewhere, it just makes it boring and monotonous. If you want something more spontaneous and creative, try combining an old vintage coffee table with a modern object.
2. Decorate your home with works of art, as they bring out the personality of the owner and give a more sophisticated touch to the decoration. You can choose paintings, photos, sculptures in different colors and sizes.
3. Base your living room lighting from the beginning of the design, as it is very important to the final result. Modern chandeliers, table lamps and floor lamps are some of the options.
4. Try not to place all the furniture on the walls, but put them on different levels, this way the space will look more multidimensional.
5. Match the sizes of the furniture you choose with each other and with the decorations of your home. For example, if you choose a large imposing sofa, combine it with an armchair of a similar size and hanging decorations, so that it gives a balance to the space.
6. If you want to give a three-dimensional feeling combine textures and fabrics. Place metal or glass objects on wooden furniture, as they write very nicely.
7. You may have heard the theory that if you want to achieve a proper arrangement of the space and the furniture, they should rest a little on the carpet. But what if you have a small-sized rug? Then surely the above theory will not be effective, as we will create crowding in the space. To avoid this, measure the space correctly and choose the ideal carpet size in relation to your living room and furniture.
8. If you prefer eccentric combinations rather than ordinary ones, dare to decorate your space with them, giving it a touch of your own aesthetics and personality. If you imagine for example a red wall with a blue velvet sofa, do it!
