This is the second cycle of the corresponding program that ran in 2023, The "My Home 2" Program and is based on the new government strategy for "Social Housing".
It includes low-interest loans for the purchase of a first home by young people and young couples, with "social compensation", mass renovation of empty private houses for long-term leases, utilization of real estate of the State, subsidy for energy upgrading and renovation of the home of owner-occupied young people aged 25-50 , creation of modern student residences and an increase in the student allowance.
Regarding the granting of low-interest or interest-free housing loans to young people and young couples aged 25-50, the specific program grants a loan of €150,000 for the purchase of a first home up to 120 sq.m. The year of construction of the properties included in the program will be announced soon in the first months of 2025. It is recalled that for the My House 1 program, the acceptable year of construction was up to 2007.
Beneficiaries of the loan will be up to 30.000 young people or young couples aged 25-50, while the minimum income limit is €10.000 and the upper limit is the heating allowance, i.e. €16.000 for the single and €24.000 for the married , with an increase of €3.000 for each child.
