Organize your room according to Feng Shui

Feng Shui, where Feng means wind and Shui water, has its origins in Chinese philosophy and promises to bring harmony and balance depending on the way objects are placed in the space. According to Feng Shui, our bedroom is the most important room in the house, for this reason we should be particularly careful in its arrangement.

First, the position of the bed in relation to the rest of the objects and the door of the room is of great importance. Thus, the bed should be placed imposingly and facing the door without being in the same line with it. Avoid placing a mirror opposite the bed, as the reflection can disturb your sleep. Also, it would be good to keep the space under your bed free and not store things. However, if there is a need to place something, prefer soft objects related to sleep such as pillows, blankets, sheets.

What items should be avoided in the room?

Certainly electronic devices are forbidden in the space where we sleep, so instead prefer to replace them with books on the nightstand of the room, where according to Feng Shui they contain energy and stimulate the mind. Colors also play an important role in Feng Shui, so for example some red splashes on the wall can signify happiness and optimism.

On the other hand, earthy and neutral shades convey more support and relaxation, respectively blue and green colors give something more refreshing while white is the color of love and coexistence. Finally, green indoor plants give life to the space and are therefore considered good Feng Shui, so take lighting, humidity and heat into account and choose a plant that will thrive according to them.

For example, bonsai is the most widespread and associated with the philosophy of feng shui. Although it needs special care, it brings very good energy to your space. Another well-known plant is the bamboo which brings you good luck in whatever area of your life you choose and depending on the number of branches you add to your vase. Another lucky plant that brings money to the home or business is the money tree. Finally, Sansiveria is an easy plant that does not need frequent watering and according to Feng Shui removes negative energy from the space.
